Summary

SMARD

The project starts from the need for environmental monitoring of indoor living or working to improve the quality of life. The final product of the project is required by SME for the development and modernization of current sensor integration solutions, automation and communication features through the inclusion of artificial intelligence and the Internet. Thus, it can create for company a market sales and higher turnover.

aThe main objective of the project is to implement an intelligent wireless sensor network, scalable, connected to a remote computer via the Internet or a smart phone. The network contains more intelligent multisensory nodes (NMSI) and a central network management node connected via the internet to a server accessible to administrator / via GSM to a smartphone accessible to user.

The concept includes location of a NMSI in every room of the building / housing, having multiple sensory functions. The services performed by the research unit are in compliance with the specific objectives: design, implementation, testing and validating the functional model of network and technology transfer to manufacturing unit. The innovative aspect consists in achieving an intelligent wireless sensor network, configurable and scalable. The commercial and technological risk is insignificant. The product is designed both residential buildings and office buildings and the estimated price is competitive. Through flexibility is ensured competitiveness for a long time.

Main objective

SMARD

The overall objective of the project is to develop on high-level research conducted by the academic community with expertise in wireless sensor networks, equipped with artificial intelligence and integrated in IoT.

Specific objectives

SMARD

OS1. Implementing the SMARD hardware/software architecture;

OS2. Implementation of NMSI and NC nodes;

OS3. Designing the configuration software, providing SMARD communication and Internet / GSM integration;

OS4. Elaborating an experimental model with a small-scale reconfigurable structure;

OS5. Demonstration of model functionality;

OS6. Making technology transfer.

Estimated result

SMARD

As a result of the research, the SME will produce a new, competitive and flexible product (SMARD), based on the state-of-the-art technologies, applicable to monitoring the environment in residential or office buildings.

The product can be exploited by building managers in order to meet the modern working, living and maintenance conditions of the building.

Due to its implementation facilities and flexibility, it is designed for both new and old constructions without the builder's intervention.

The solution to this problem is important because of its economic and social impact that occurs both to the producer and the final beneficiary.
